Perspective of Regenerative Medicine by Autogenous Adipose-derived Stem Cells
Dr. Hideki Iwaguro Senior Manager, CytoriTherapeutics, Inc.
Nagasaki University is proudly holding Global COE Program of “Global Strategic Center for Radiation Health Risk Control”. One of three major aims of the program is targeted on “International Radiation”. In this framework, the autogenous adipose tissue-derived stem cell therapy is explored and further applications are extended. Autogenous adipose-derived stem cell therapy was successfully started for the local radiation injury and further possibility of these new therapeutic modalities is proposed. For this future collaboration with CytoriTherapeutics, Inc., which developed the closed processing machine from the patient own tissue within one hour, in various aspects of regenerative medicine including both acute and extended radiation injuries, Dr. Hideki Iwaguro, senior manager of CytoriTherapeutics, Inc. will give a lecture and practical recommendations for international perspectives toward global guides by World Health Organization (WHO) and other international institutions.
